One Happy Slumbering Bear!

Two days back on my original medication regimen and I'm thrilled to report that I am once again sleeping like a log.  The change that put me on an alternative medication was made for all the right reasons and with the best of intentions, but it just didn't work.  It turns out I was one of the more rare people that had significant side effects including spiked blood sugar readings along with restlessness and insomnia.  Two days isn't really long enough to identify a trend in blood sugar, but my fasting this morning was an impressive 114 for what it's worth.  Time will tell if the blood sugars remain at lower levels.  But that aside, the sleep alone is definitely worth changing back to what we know works.  I have much less of a hangover effect today, so I'm hopeful that side effect was and will be short lived.  Hindsight is always 20/20 and, as I stated in my last posting, had we known what the results would be the change would never have been made.  Lesson learned, if it aint broke don't fix it!  I wish I had more to report or talk about, but at the moment I'm just happy to be feeling better, getting some great quality sleep, and returning to a more even keel.  I'm simply going to continue through the rest of the weekend watching football and monitoring my progress.  Life is good again!
